Legal action over PIP breast implants

Legal action has been commenced in the United Kingdom by women who had breast implant surgery with products manufactured by the French company Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP).  In the United Kingdom 40,000 women have received the French made implants which sparked a major health scare after reports that some had ruptured.  The implants were banned after they were found to contain non-medical-grade silicone.  Whilst investigation in Northern Ireland has revealed that no women who has undergone private or NHS surgery has received sub standard silicone breast implants, it is widely understood that there may be some women living here who had implants fitted elsewhere.  Campbell Fitzpatrick has been consulted by a number of such women seeking advice in relation to remedies available to them as a consequence of potential negligence in the manufacture, marketing and use of the substandard products.

Campbell Fitzpatrick has a long and successful history of litigation concerning defective products.  Campbell Fitzpatrick has coordinated the successful litigation pursued against a major pharmaceutical company concerning the use of a contrast medium designed to enhance x-ray examination.  We also currently are acting on behalf of those persons affected by the recall of the DePuy hip components.  If you have a query concerning your PIP breast implants contact Patrick Mullarkey of Campbell Fitzpatrick Solicitors either by telephone on 02890 327388 or by email - paddy@cfs-law.com.
