Campbell Fitzpatrick Solicitors were delighted to support this year’s Ulster Cancer Foundation’s (UCF) Think Pink! luncheon at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Friday 21st October 2011. Their guests, who included colleagues from Aviva Insurance, Europa General and Northstone (NI) Limited, joined with almost 300 others from all over Northern Ireland to attend the glittering occasion which included a pink champagne reception, lunch, raffle prizes and beauty goodie bags.
UCF’s Think Pink! campaign ran during October, which is breast cancer awareness month, and the luncheon was UCF’s flagship event, helping to raise awareness and funds to support local women with breast cancer. Special guest Rosemary Shrager, who became popular as the host of the prime time ITV1 show Ladette to Lady and is currently the resident chef on ITV1’s Alan Titchmarsh Show, said she was ‘absolutely delighted’ to be able to attend:
“The fear of breast cancer worries most women, but so much can be done nowadays both to prevent and treat this terrible disease. That message is so important for women everywhere.
“The Ulster Cancer Foundation provides an excellent and vital service giving advice and support to those who need help. I am very pleased to have been invited to speak at this wonderful event. Women, and a few men, of all ages from across Northern Ireland joined us for a fabulous few hours of fun and laughter.
UCF’s Think Pink! campaign highlights the help available to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. These services include UCF bra and swimwear fitting service in Belfast, L’derry, Dungannon, Newry and Enniskillen; support groups, counselling, art therapy, creative writing, walking groups, Beauty for Life, family support plus an information and support helpline. All funds raised from the Think Pink! campaign are spent within Northern Ireland to ensure that the charity’s services for women with breast cancer, provided free of charge by UCF, continue.
